Midday Supervisor

REQUIRED ASAP

1 hour per day, 5 days per week

5 hours per week

38 weeks per year (term time only)

Salary: £3,054 - £3,100 per annum, including London Allowance

 

Blackfen School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care.

In 2023, 72% of students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Progress was also strong. At A level in 2023, 41% of grades were at A*-B.  Similarly, high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.

Our flourishing Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses at A level, as well as vocational level 2 and 3 courses.

We are seeking to recruit a Midday Supervisor to work in this busy secondary school.

Working as part of a small team you will help supervise pupils both in the dining hall and around the school, ensuring their safety and observing school rules.

The successful applicants will need to be confident and outgoing, relate well to children and possess initiative and common sense.  Please note that candidates will need to be available from 13:00 – 14:00 each day.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.  The school therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
