PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATIONS
If you wish to be considered for any of our vacancies you should complete the relevant application form, giving the names and addresses of two referees, and submit a concise letter of application. This should include the following information:
- A brief outline of what you have achieved in your present or most recent post
- A statement about why you want this job
- An indication of the strengths and expertise you could offer the school
Candidates are kindly requested not to submit a CV instead of the application form. Additional sheets may be attached to the back of the application form if there is insufficient space.
Completed applications should be returned for the attention of the Human Resources Department, either by post or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org)

ABOUT BLACKFEN SCHOOL FOR GIRLS
Blackfen School is a progressive, vibrant and rapidly improving learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care. In 2015 we achieved 71% 5 A*- C, and 73% 5 A*- C including English and Mathematics at GCSE. Our flourishing mixed Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses at AS and A2 level, as well as vocational level 2 and 3 courses. Ofsted graded the school as “good” and we are now looking to progress rapidly towards “outstanding”.
Our Governors want to appoint well-qualified, motivated and innovative teaching staff. High expectations of professional outcomes underpin the work of our staff team. Ambition for excellence, a passion for student health, achievement and lifelong participation, together with the desire to develop professional skills within a supportive learning community will characterise applications for this post. The ability to teach across the age and ability range is required, as is specialist knowledge of subject area.
