Sixth Form Dress Code

BLACKFEN SIXTH FORM

YEAR 12 & 13 DRESS CODE

Students in the Sixth Form are expected to be smartly presented at all times reflecting a businesslike and purposeful environment. Lower school see the Sixth Form as role models and therefore a weight of serious responsibility rests on all members of the Sixth Form both female and male.

LADIES

  • Tailored suit which comprises of jacket with a skirt, trousers or dress
  • Skirt and dresses to be knee length
  • Trousers, skirt and dresses must be of suit material and style
  • Trousers must be full length
  • Formal blouse or tailored top
  • DARK plain (black/brown/navy) leather look shoes – NO TRAINERS, SANDALS/FLIP-FLOPS, DM Boots or similar, Wellington Boots or UGG Boots

GENTLEMEN

  • Tailored suit
  • Shirt in any colour Can be long or short sleeved
  • Tie must be worn
  • Trousers must be of a suit material
  • Dark plain (black/brown/navy) leather look shoes. No trainers/canvas shoes

Hair colour: this must be natural colour (no bizarre styles or colours)

The following are not appropriate for a formal working environment and consequently are not allowed:

  • Jeans or chino style trousers
  • Jean style or skin tight trousers
  • Corduroy or denim
  • ‘Hoodies’ of any description
  • Shorts or cropped trousers
  • Strappy tops or vests
  • Leggings
  • Body con material
  • Stretchy/jersey material
  • Leather
  • See through tops
  • Cut out shoulder (off the shoulder tops)

JACKETS MUST BE WORN BY ALL STUDENTS.
