The School Day

Students receive five hours of lessons per day and 20 minutes of tutor time.

The core school week, from the start of the first lesson to the end of the final lesson each day, is 32.5 hours.

The school follows a two-week timetable - Week A and Week B.

The school day is:

8.20am	Arrival at school
8.30am – 9.30am	Period 1
9.30am – 10.30am	Period 2
10.30am – 10.50am	Form time
10.50am – 11.15am	BREAK
11.15am – 12.15pm	Period 3
12.15pm – 1.15pm	Period 4
1.15pm – 2.00pm	LUNCH
2.00pm -3.00pm	Period 5
3.00pm	FINISH

Morning registration is at 8.30am at the start of lesson one, so students need to be in school by at least 8.20am. Lesson 5 ends at 3.00pm, however, many students stay longer to take advantage of ICT and the Learning Resources Centre which stay open after school, or to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
